Meet Akasha, the furry founder of Moonveil SIberians

Our Akasha

Founding Siberian Female

Affinia's Ballroom Blitz (AKC # WS86788601), affectionately known as "Akasha." She is the one who started it all. Even though breeding her wasn't initially the plan when we brought her home, she was just simply going to be the family dog. But then she quickly attached to me, she is smart, loyal, loving, playful, and she is the best service dog I have ever had. Granted though, she is my first service dog to.

Somewhere along the way though, in the short year that we have had her, she inspired something bigger.

She is always following me around, even as I type this, she is laying right up against my feet under my computer desk. She loves being able to come with me everywhere we go, but she is crate trained for the times that I don't feel like bringing her with. She loves Greenies dog treats; blueberry is her favorite flavor. She is people food fed. She gets kibble, but only for the times that she is hungry in between the times that we eat. She is playful with our cats; she loves when they squeak like one of her toys when she playfully and softly bites their shoulders.

Our Legacy

This is the quietest husky I have ever met. She is so mellow and calm, only 'talks' when we are playing or when I come home from work. She doesn't bark at the door, she doesn't bark for no reason and she has the husky language but it isn't all the time. Really only when she is wanting our food. She mainly just lays at my feet, lays with me when I am laying on the couch, and she loves to cuddle.

One of her 'tricks' for her anxiety training is giving a hug. I tap my right shoulder and tell her 'hug' and she will jump up on my kneeling lap, and then lays her head on the shoulder I tapped. Another trick she has is when I am sitting, standing or laying down, I tap my chest (for sitting or standing) or my tricep area for when I am laying down, and tell her 'guard' and she will sit right in front of me if I am standing or sitting, or lay up against me with her head on my arm while I lay there. That is her comfort as well as mine. We have a very strong bond.

Our Vision

Akasha may not have came to us with breeding in our minds, but once we got to know her, we saw all of the awesome qualities that she could pass on in future generations to make the best huskies, so, we decided to make her the CEO of Moonveil Siberians.
As Moonveil grows, future dogs will bring their own personalities, strengths and stories. Future Champions, if they pursue the show ring, mothers, fathers, and generations that may add their own chapters to the Moonveil story.

But Akasha will always be chapter one. She wasn't simply the beginnging of our line, she was the start of our legacy.

This is why she inspired Moonveil and what I want her future line to represent.

We do, however, require written approval from Moonveil before breeding your puppy and reserve the right to deny the breeding approval. Our goal is to protect the health, temperament, heritage and integrity of the Moonveil line. For that reason, breeding a Moonveil dog to another breed will not be permitted. Breeding without this requirement will just make it so the puppies cannot be registered with the AKC. They will have it on file that the breeding rights were not permitted.

Every prospective family will be carefully considered before a puppy is placed. Our priority is finding responsible, loving homes that are a good fit for both the puppy and the family. If you believe a Moonveil Siberian may be right for you, we invite you to apply.

As always, however, if at any time or any age, that you feel that you can no longer provide care for the dog, we ask that we are contacted to make arrangements for the puppy to come back home to Moonveil, because they may leave our house, but they never leave our family.
